You’ve been called to the battle, but you are destined to win.
I’m looking right at you..
I’m talking right at you..
If you’ve stumbled upon this blog post today, I sincerely want you to know that you are destined to win.
Can I throw a scripture at you real quick?
1 John 5:4 (AMP) says,
“For everyone born of God is victorious and overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has conquered and overcome the world—our [continuing, persistent] faith [ in Jesus the Son of God].”
Victory, triumph, success, and winning is in your DNA. The day you invited Jesus into your life was also the day you invited Him to champion you through all battles, dominate all wars, and seize all conquests on this road called life.
Losing is no longer an option for you, because losing isn’t possible for you.
God has marked you for victory, set you up for triumph, and paved the way for your success in this life.
Romans 8:36-37 (AMP)
says to you and I that,
“…we are regarded as sheep for the slaughter, yet in all these things we are more than conquerors and gain an overwhelming victory through Him who loved us [so much that He died for us].”
I’m sorry if I’m throwing the scriptures at you a bit early today ya’ll…
But, the time to wake up and smell your winning moments, envision your greatest feats, and climb toward the most precise pinnacle of your destiny is now.
Let the Word of God be written on your heart and let it recondition your mind!
Friend… you’re a winner. Period!
You’re called to it. You were made for it. You are designed for it. You’re destined for it.
But, the question I have for you today is, are you serious about it?
You see…God is very serious about making you the champ! But you have to get serious about WINNING.
When God thought to create you, He didn’t have you in mind to be a benchwarmer in His kingdom. He didn’t have you in mind to simply sit back and watch others compete to fulfill their destinies and not your own!
Not at all!
He dubbed you MVP when He told you in Ephesians 2:10,
“that you are His workmanship [His own master work, a work of art], created in Christ Jesus [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, ready to be used] for good works, which He prepared for you beforehand..”
God created you to champion kingdom culture, kingdom values, kingdom principles, kingdom mentality, in your assigned ring of influence here on earth!
He has given you the upperhand, He has given you the dominance, He has given you the power and He has given you the authority to WIN IN YOUR LIFE.
Remember, destiny, plainly put, is Heaven’s expectation of you!
And, it is on Heaven’s itinerary that you end your earthly life on a positive—as a winner! You are expected to end having overcome all of life’s throws and prevailed over all the enemy’s attacks!
Serious question though: What are you currently up against?
I want you to stop and think about, for a moment, all of your present battles.
What have you been wrestling to overcome? What have you been striving to conquer? What is the long-awaited victory, that the moment you seize it, it will divert the course of life forever? Is it financial? Is it spiritual? Is it relational? Is it academic? Is it physical? Is it mental? Is it emotional?
Whatever your battle, you have been called to WIN it.
So, why then does it seem like many people end their lives unfulfilled, frustrated, and discontent? Why then does it seem like so many people end up LOSING at life?
To be honest this blog post does not permit me to list all the reasons…
But, if there is one thing I have examined in scripture is that true DEVOTION to God will keep you away from DEFEAT.
In other words..
Your OBEDIENCE to God, not your sacrifice…
Your FAITHFULNESS to Him, and not your favors…
will always have you wound up on the winning side of life!
Remember Joshua, who fought the battle of Jericho and WON?
Yeah, we love that story.
The truth is however, in the next chapter, him and the Israelites fought another battle and LOST. In fact, scripture tells us that they lost so terribly that Joshua tore his clothes and fell face to the ground (Joshua 7:6)
The reason being for their loss was because a particular fellow named Achan from their camp decided to go against God’s command and take the material leftovers from the battle that was won over at Jericho.
God saw this as sin and decided that in their next battle He would leave them to fight for themselves!
Achan had lost DEVOTION to God and as a result the entire camp suffered an enormous DEFEAT.
And we all know DEFEAT doesn’t feel good.
When we look back over our lives, there are some battles that unfortunately, brought us to the same point Joshua was at. Face to the ground in our worries, anxiety, troubles and fears.
Face to the ground in our defeat.
We’ve felt finished, ashamed, and ultimately disgraced.
It’s possible that you feel that way, right now…you’ve lost battle after battle and have no hope that you can win again.
I’m here to tell you, the devil’s lyin’! And there’s a way to get your winning edge back!
You see…what we can all learn from Joshua is that, he didn’t allow the DEFEAT to lead him to PITY, but rather to PRESENCE.
Joshua knew that Him and God’s people were promised pre-victory, pre-possession, pre-success, pre-deliverance, pre-wins!
God told Joshua that He should be strong and courageous because wherever him and the Israelites go, He’s going to be AHEAD of them championing them to victory!
But at Ai, they were defeated so Joshua knew something was wrong somewhere!
God left them over to themselves for a reason! Scripture goes on to tell us that once, Joshua sought God, the camp discovered the issue, repented, and God granted them victory over the very people that defeated them!
What a merciful yet mighty God we serve!
As I leave you to think about that, I want to end off by telling you that,
Friend…you have been called to the heavy BATTLE OF LIFE, and you have been DESTINED TO WIN IT.
I’m just here to encourage you that God seriously wants you to win, but he also seriously wants your devotion to Him.
God seriously wants, your “yes,” and He seriously wants your heart. He seriously wants your obedience and He seriously wants your faithfulness.
You can’t win without the Winner, Himself.
Get back on the winning team.
Stay on the winning team.
And, let God make you into the champ He has destined for you to be!
